Outstanding hand carved Reynard the Fox figure. Piece is Black Forest in style however, an advanced collector has told me he believes this piece may be French. Regardless, an extremely fine detailed piece with a hinged neck to reveal the interior of the horn (horn has a floor a few inches deep). Very fine original condition with (one leg and ears have been repaired in good fashion) glass eyes. We have sold many carved Black Forest style pieces but few pieces rival the quality of this piece. Circa 1900. 15 inches tall and 11 inch floor span.
