I'm not sure if I should call this a humidor or cracker jar---you pick. Regardless, it is a very pretty piece. The bottom of the ceramic portion reads ' Carltons Fantasia Ware Burslam' hence this appears to be an English piece but I think it is a reproduction. Beautiful piece but probably not old. I do not find any marking on the silverplated portion. A wonderful motif of fairies and in excellent condition. Overall size is 8.5 high (to finial), and base is about 5.5 inches square.
