This is one of the rarest of all the barrister bookcases which Globe Wernicke made. Only the second time I have owned this model in over 30 years in the antique business. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stackable bookcase. This quartered oak unit retains the original Globe labels. Bookcase contains a drawer in the bottom, two doors for storage, two drawers, two retractable glass doors, two neat side open small leaded glass doors flanking a center gallery. Labels on the two glass door units, and the two door unit. Guaranteed completely original with the exception of the finish which may be an earlier refinish---smooth and even with a nice patina. Overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 74 high, and 12 deep.
