This is wonderful quartersawn oak barrister bookcase (sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stacked bookcase) with a built in desk unit. A very original unit in every way, including the finish which is smooth and even, and has developed a beautiful aged patina. The two top bookcase units have leaded glass (9.5 inches tall) and the bottom unit is larger at 13.5 inches tall (not leaded but original glass). This Globe Wernicke piece includes the desk which has a complete fitted interior. Overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 68 high, and 19 deep.
