This is a wonderful six stack double wide quartered oak barrister bookcase. This is a rare model of stacking bookcase, sometimes called a lawyers bookcase. This is not a Globe Wernicke or Macey but one of their competitors, not sure which. I am sure it is high quality and a very functional piece. This is a graduated model meaning the bottom unit is larger (taller) than the other units; nice for different size books. The divided doors are for appearance only----there are six doors, not twelve. Note the OG top and bottom. Original glass and pulls--finish may have been redone some years ago but is smooth and even with a nice patina. Each of the six stacks are 51 wide, 10 deep, with the bottom unit 15 high and the remaining five 11 high. Overall size of the bookcase is 51 wide, 81 high, and 14 deep. A very beautiful but functional unit!
