This is the first time I have had this mitt for sale. Have seen only a couple others. It is a Babe Ruth store model fielders glove. A period piece from the early 1930's with Babe Ruth endorsement. A Spalding mitt with faint impressed mark on glove and original brass button. Model 199. Faint remnants of original owners signature on strap. Excellent condition, supple, with no tears rips, stains, etc. Ruth signature is strong. This mitt has no finger laces as expected for this time period and is the larger size at 11 wide and 10 high . Best example of this Babe Ruth glove mitt I have ever seen. Would make a wonderful display piece. I have encased it in a nice glass display case, which is included I you like. Circa 1930s.
