When an 1883 Ansonia Clock Company hanging Regulator No. 14 comes up for sale, it will normally command a price of $15,000 or more. This clock is a carbon copy of the Ansonia including the 8 day Swiss type pinwheel movement, with a sweep second hand, one brass weight, beveled glass door and sidelights and a large 12 inch lyre pendulum. I am told there were ten of these clocks made not long ago (2005, I believe). The piece is so finely made that I doubt there are many who would tell it from the original. As with all my clocks, it is currently setup and running in the store. I don't often sell clocks that are not antique but this is such an exceptional piece and, the originals are not commonly on the market. Overall size is 84 inches high, 29 wide, and 13 deep.
