I have had several stereoscopes (stereopticon) over the years but this certainly is the best. Executed in burl walnut with ebony, tulip, and mahogany. The inlaid marquetry on the piece is beautifully done and very exacting. Completely original and in perfect condition (one small break to interior card holder nicely reglued and nearly invisible). Please note the patina of the original finish has developed a nice smooth and mellow look. Original hardware (note floral cartouche on lid), spy glasses, and concave magnifying glass. Nice size at 8 wide, 13.5 deep, and 3.5 high.
