This is a rather rare spool cabinet. A Thomas Russell which is an early John Clark Company cabinet. In addition, it is a nine drawer cabinet which are not common---most of which were from the Chadwick Co. At any rate, this thread cabinet has been professionally restored and is in very good condition (some staining to top (see photo) which blends nicely to the wood). All original including brass and wood embossed pulls. The sides are paneled and the interior is clean and without odor. Some wear to the lettering but not significant and adds to the antique beauty of the piece. Overall size is 29 wide, 19 deep, and 22 high. Spool cabinets make wonderful end tables, night stands, or ?????
