The work 'OUTSTANDING' is overused but in this case I think it is justified. This is a outstanding quarter sawn oak fretwork piece---sometimes called Victorian gingerbread. Unit consists of two opposite side end pieces of carved scrolled work with a ball and stick design. Each end piece has a substantial turned column originally for a lamp or candlestick. The center piece is also carved and scrolled with the same ball and stick workmanship. All pieces are professionally restored and in perfect condition. I can find no repairs or modifications of any kind----as good as new. Please note the center section pattern----this could easily be cut down to fit in nearly any size entry or door way or ???? I believe this is the nicest unit of fretwork I have had for sale in my 40 years in business. Center section is 97 inches long and has a 29 inch drop. Each end piece is 67.5 high, and about 17.5 wide (the diameter of the candle holder is 9 inches). Please keep in mind that this length would easily be shorten if desired. Pickup available in NE Indiana or easily shipped by common carrier or ACDelivers.
