This is a really great quartersawn oak two door cupboard. I believe it was probably originally used as an office piece or filing cabinet, maybe a bookcase. Could also be used as an wardrobe or ???? The interior has fitted compartments on the upper left and adjustable shelves below that. The right side has recently been used for clothing (note hooks) but could be used otherwise. Both doors and both sides have exceptional raised panels and beautiful quartering of the oak. The top crown or crest with multiple layers has one corner with a slight loss (see photos) but this is not particularly distracting. Orignal brass knobs (small holes for locks missing or not functional). Overall size is 45 wide, 19 deep, and 85 high (7 feet 1 inch).
