I have sold many Danner bookcase's over the years but this is really a nice example. Finish has been professionally restoed and is in excellent condition. Piece retains its original leaded glass, original labels, shelves----everything original. Mahogany sliding door Danner bookcases are increasingly difficult to locate, especially with original leaded and beveled glass (diamonds are beveled). All glass perfect. Doors slide properly and stacked units fit tightly on each other; all shelves are adjustable. Note the fancy beading work along the top lip of the bookcase. These units were manufactured much like barrister bookcases or lawyers bookcases in that each section interlock on top of the other, hence, the name stacked bookcases. Circa 1910. Overall size is 37 wide, 13.5 deep, and 57.5 high.
