This is very unusual and wonderful quartersawn oak drop front desk. Quite fancy with applied carvings around mirror and drop door. Original in all respects. Finish is smooth and without any blemishes. Nice shaped and beveled mirror with candle holder on the gallery. Complete fitted interior with drawer. Note the interesting side doors (not drawers). Piece has a shaped drawer below and pretty cabriole legs. Overall size is 51 high, 36 wide, 17 deep. Best little oak writing desk you will find. Circa 1900.
