This is a rare find----a matched pair mahogany barrister bookcases. These bookcases are sometimes called lawyer's bookcases or stacked bookcases. I purchased these two together and I feel sure they have been together since they left the Lundstrom factory in Little Falls New York about 1900. Lundstrom was a competitor of Globe Wernicke and Macey. These pair are completely original and in excellent condition. Some items of note are deep sculptured top, full skirt, the base unit drawer, all original hardware, the leaded glass windows in all three sections, the graduated height of the three units (base unit is 15.5 inches high-middle unit is 13.5 inches high and top unit is 11.5 inches high), the original labels and the original 'wavy' glass in the doors. Both bookcases are very clean and all doors work properly. Because they are such a perfect match, I have decided to sell them together (I always have several barrister bookcases for sale---check my site for others). Overall size is 34 wide, 49 high, and 13.5 deep. Wonderful set, very functional, with the original finish having developed a smooth mellow pretty patina.
