Six drawer J & P Coats spool cabinet with brass pulls. Cabinet is oak and in excellent restored condition. Most of the 'embossed thread back' cabinets were in cherry; unusual to find in oak. 23 high and 26 wide and 19 deep. Front of drawers read (in recess) J & P Coats, Spool Cotton, White, "Best Six Cord", Black, Assorted Colors'. Would make a wonderful end table or night stand. Note fancy turned pillars and pressed design on drawer fronts on either end. This is the model which has the neat embossed J & P spool of thread on the back panel---one of the most popular of all spool cabinet designs. Much more common in cherry than in oak. Circa 1900. PERFECT.
