An impressive bronze statue by Belgium artist Yvonne Serrvys (1874-1953). The piece is entitled "In Pravidintia Virtut". In Roman mythology, Providentia was the goddess of forethought---therefore the wonderful symbolism of the 'virtue of forethought'. Note the detail of the characters and the 'Angel' over them. Beautifully done and in excellent original condition (the patina that has developed over time is splendid). Overall size is 16 high and 8.5 wide. Artist signed.
