A nice high quality hand carved shelf. Piece is of a lion or dog---not sure---but I am voting for the lion! Pretty incised carving with heavily carved animal in center. Very good condition with some wear to top surface of shelf itself (this would not normally show when viewing). Size is 11 high and 9.5 wide. Circa 1890.
