Amazing quartered oak eleven section barrister bookcase with desk. Sometimes called a stacked bookcase or lawyers bookcase. One of the finest barrister bookcase we have ever offered for sale. Each door has beveled and leaded glass; and retains their original Globe-Wernicke paper labels. Desk unit has nice fitted interior and a beautiful carved cartouche on the door (with drawer underneath). Note the unusual raised panel door on the bottom unit of the center section. Good idea to avoid kicking the glass on this lower unit. Full skirts on all three units sculptured top caps. All three sections are matching however, each is completely finished and could be used separately as stand alone units. Each center unit measures 34 wide 12.25 high, and 11 deep. Each end unit measures 27.25 wide, 12.25 high, and 11 deep. Please note each of the base sections (on all three pieces) are 14 inches high---allowing a graduated use for larger books, etc. Overall dimensions would be 72 high, 89 wide, and 16 deep (this is the deepest point from the wall to the end of the desk unit; a waterfall design). All units has been professionally restored (some backs and bands may have been replaced) and are in excellent condition. Absolutely the best barristers you will ever encounter.
