A wonderful porcelain floor model scale. Piece is a one cent model and is in excellent working condition. All porcelain is original with just very minor scuffs or scrapes (see photos). Original blue and white hexagon file standing area. Dial is executed in white, black, blue and red and reads along the top 'WHAT DO YOU WEIGH TODAY' and along the bottom YOUR WEIGHT ONE CENT'. Fantastic porcelain placard showing caricature of a policeman reads 'STOP WATCH YOUR WEIGHT AND KEEP HEALTHY' and 'Peerless Detroit Copyrighted'. These scales are commonly called lollipop scales because of their design. Note pretty ribbed column work-nickel plated 'Coin Here' receptacle. Difficult to find in this condition and working mechanism. Best I have had in many many years. Overall size is 69 high and dial 18 inch diameter. Base is 24 deep and 13.5 wide.
