Amazing hand carved desk piece. I would think possibly Black Forest but I am not sure. Organ grinder motif with monkey collecting coins. Look at the pieces----1. Bird on tree is actually the letter opener; 2. Tree on left is pen; 3. Stump on front left is pen wipe or nib cleaner; 4. Top of dog house is hinged to reveal the stamp box; 5. Organ grinders box is hinged to reveal the ink well. Wonderful detail all around and ONE OF A KIND!! Base is approximately 4.5 x 8.0. Tallest point is 9 inches.
