Clown on the Globe cast iron mechanical bank. Great piece by J & E Stevens Co. Minor paint wear; reference Norman 1930-a, page 66. This piece is from the outstanding collection of William W. Cole of Olathe, Kansas. Good overall condition (spinning of clown is somewhat sticky in operation---therefore I will not guarantee its operation) approximately 9 inches tall. Great detail on this piece, especially his face. Base signed Patd 428450 pending (that number would indicate 1890 patent).
