Unusual oak Merricks spool cabinet or thread cabinet. This is the round turnstile model. The two curved glass inserts have 'Merrick's Six Cord Soft Finish Spool Cotton' painted. The remaining portion of the outside has a tambour like slats. The entire inside holders rotate by turning the knob on the top (works perfectly). Access to the spools is gained by the small curved door near the base. Filling the cabinet was accomplished by the top sliding door. Wonderful condition. 18 inches in diameter and 22 inches high. Would make a wonderful end table or night stand or ???
