A rare artist signed 19th century KPM porcelain plaque of "The First Snowfall". Plaque depicts a grandfather with two grandchildren standing in a doorway with snowy foreground. Contained in an elaborate carved wood frame of scrolling acanthus (minor losses). Impressed scepter mark and "KPM" - artist signed lower right "F X Tallmaier Munchen". Plaque 7.5 x 10 inches (18 x 21 overall).
